Q & A
Who We Serve
People go to therapy for lots of reasons! Usually people go because their feeling some way that makes daily activities more challenging than you think they should be. Others go to therapy because they want to explore and improve a specific aspect of who they are. Or, they just want to feel heard and understood.
A therapist's main goal is to help you understand why you are feeling the way you are, give you the tools to figure out how you want to move forward, and support you through that journey. It's good to see a therapist because they are specifically trained in how to talk clients through these steps. And, they know a lot about mental health, so they can teach you tools and techniques specific to what you're going through, and help you move through these steps safely.
The important thing to remember is, if you've been thinking about going to therapy, then therapy is right for you! Therapy is never 'wrong' for anyone - if you've been to therapy and felt it wasn't the right fit, then you probably just haven't found the right person, yet. Every therapist is unique with their own way of seeing the world, just like you! Keep searching to find that right fit.
